Author, Teacher, and Experienced Prom Sponsor!
I am a career educator who has coordinated twenty proms at seven different off-site venues as well as on-site at my school.
For years, friends who taught at other schools would ask me to help with their prom planning, and I was always happy to share my resources and provide advice.
So why did I decide to write a prom planning handbook?
As much as I enjoyed coordinating my school’s prom, the responsibility that accompanies organizing such a huge and important school event was overwhelming!
I wrote this book as a way of helping other prom sponsors and making it easier for them to plan a wonderful event for their students.
Through the years I made a lot of mistakes and dealt with about every type of problem imaginable—from prom night wardrobe malfunctions to deadly weather conditions--and I learned from every single situation I handled!
This prom planning handbook is the final product of my journey, a resource to help other prom sponsors avoid and troubleshoot some of the problems that I encountered along the way!
